OPTIMAL EXCERCISE
Exercise is confusing. There is a lot of information about exercise out there. It is easy to find. But, much of the information is contradictory. Exercise is clearly good for you , but even different medical studies seem to contradict each other. Even the most common questions about exercise seem difficult to answer.
Questions like:
- How much should you exercise?
- Should you be exercising every day, or just a few times a week?
- What exercises should you be doing?
- Should you be running?
- Is walking okay?
- What if you are not healthy enough for exercise?
Part of the problem is that there are no one-size fits all answers to exercise. Optimal exercise is like a prescription. The dose is different for each person. Your body is different . Your needs are not the same as your spouse’s or your neighbor’s. You need a customized exercise plan and approach, tailored to your body and your needs. The optimal exercise pillar is based on first discovering your current needs and abilities are.
We start by conducting a full objective assessment that is technology based. We check for muscle imbalances, postural patterns that are problematic, as well as conduct orthopedic and neurological assessments. Only after the assessment is complete do we work with you to formulate a customized exercise plan that you can stick to and that will help you on your road to wellness. Performing exercises that are not properly prescribed by a knowledgeable professional can lead to further re-aggravation of injuries, cause new injuries, or lead to deterioration that will cause you problems in the future.
Optimal exercise is about finding the best exercise plan for your entire mind and body.
